Sad day for University of Miami fans.
U of Miami NFL streak could end this year
I’m a spoiled University of Miami football fan. The first time I went to the Orange Bowl to see “The Canes,” I was still attending Hialeah-Miami Lakes High School. And it wasn’t a regular game. I saw quarterback Steve Walsh, wide receiver Michael Irvin and coach Jimmy Johnson win the 1987 National Championship 20-14 vs. Oklahoma.
Small World
A few years ago, my wife Sherry and I made a weekend trip to New York City to see a few Broadway shows. Walking by Times Square, I could hear someone screaming in Spanish “I can’t believe it, I can’t believe it.”
